What am I looking at?
Four models on one Middle East frame — 24–65°E, 11–43°N, Türkiye and Cyprus down to Socotra and the Gulf of Aden — drawn on the same colour scale so they can be read against each other. ECMWF IFS is the highest-scoring model in the world and carries the full ten days; DWD ICON is the finest free grid over this region at 13 km but stops at +120; NCEP GFS is the independent opinion and ECMWF AIFS is the machine-learned one.
There are no per-country maps here, and that is a decision rather than an omission. A Shamal is born over Iraq and dies in the Gulf of Aden; seventeen little rasters would be a lie about how this region's weather works. The country links move the viewport over one frame.
Switching model holds the valid time, not the forecast hour, so a difference between the tabs is a real disagreement between the models rather than an artefact of comparing two different moments — which matters here, because ICON arrives hours behind ECMWF's open feed.
The fields are chosen for this region rather than inherited. Wet-bulb is a first-class product with its bands cut at 27, 31 and 35 °C, because that is the scale on which a Gulf night is survivable or not. Temperature runs to +54. Visibility is carried because in this domain it is a dust field. Colour ramps are pinned to absolute values, so a loop shows real intensity changes and never a palette re-fitting itself.
